John E. Ingram, CPA

Mr. John Ingram graduated in 1965 from The University of Alabama School of Commerce with a major in Accounting. He was in the top of his class with a Q.P.A. of 3.8 in accounting and a 3.0 overall. He was with the Big Eight accounting firm of Haskins and Sells in Birmingham, Alabama for five years (1965-1970). He completed the requirements and received his certificate as "Certified Public Accountant" in May, 1968. Since 1970, Mr. Ingram has held controllership and Chief Financial Officer Positions with the following organizations:

1970-1972: A local building contractor in Birmingham, Alabama
1972-1976: Simon & Mogilner, Birmingham, Alabama-- A major manufacturer of children's' clothing with national sales and distribution.
1976-1981: Warrior Asphalt, Roofing & Sales Companies, including an asphalt refinery, a roofing material manufacturer and a roofing and metal materials distributor
1981-1983: Established an accounting and financial management firm offering accounting and financial consulting services to various small and medium size clients
1983-1994: Controller and Assistant administrator--Norwood Clinic, Inc., Birmingham, Alabama, a multi-specialty medical clinic with over 100 physicians and over 450 non-physician employees

He also currently serves as a contract controller and consultant for several clients of Ingram's Accounting including:

A major national manufacturer of drumsticks, cymbals and products for the music industry
A franchised chicken restaurant operation with 2 operating restaurants in Georgia
A retail grocery store operation
A major sawmill/lumber operation
Several smaller client companies

Mr. Ingram is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Alabama Society of CPAs, and the Institute of Management Accounting. He also regularly attends and participates in various educational programs on accounting, tax, management, payroll and employee benefit subjects.
